Targeted Public Distribution System
Department of Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare distributes the Essential commodities to the Card holders and institutions who are in need under different schemes.
Schemes under TPDS Rice
(1) (a) BPL ( For 143 ITDP & DPAP blocks ) @ 25 kg.rice ( 16 kg @ - Rs.4.75 P.M., 9 kg @ Rs.-6.30 P.M.)
(b) BPL ( For non ITDP block- 25 kg @ Rs.6.30 P.M., for non DPAP blocks- 25 kg @ Rs.6.30 P.M.)
(2)* APL -
(a) For undivided KBK districts- @ 25 kg P.M. at BPL rate @ Rs.6.30
(b) For other districts 25 kg @ Rs.9.30 kg P.M.
(c) To the prisoners of Jails as per norms of Home Deptt. @ Rs.9.30 kg.
(3)* AAY ( Antyodaya Anna Yojana) to 12,64,500 families 35 kg.of rice P.M. @ Rs.3.00 per kg.
(4) * Annapurna Yojana- 10 Kg.of rice at free of cost P.M. to 64,800 families.
(5) * 5% Additional BPL rice for Welfare institutions- (Each inmate “entitled for 15 kg. rice P.M. @ Rs.6.30 per kg).
Wheat
(6).APL Cardholders get wheat 15 kg P.M.@ Rs.7.00 per kg.
(7) Levy Sugar
BPL - 2 kg Sugar per month @ Rs.13.50 per kg.
AAY - 2 kg. Sugar per month @ Rs.13.50 per kg.

Village Grain Bank
- Committee to implement & monitor the Grain Bank:
Collector as the Chairman of the Committee and other Members are P.A., ITDA, PD, DRDA, DSWO, DWO, CSO.
To BPL & AAY families 1 Quintal to one family on loan basis to 40 members per Grain Bank.
